Description


On behalf of Au coin des petits - Centre Préscolaire, we are seeking an experienced leader with a deep knowledge of childcare and early years Act of 2014, licensing, child development, management and community building with multiple stakeholders.

Located in St. Catherines, Ontario's vibrant and family-focused community, the centre is licensed for 45 children from infant through preschool. Bilingualism in both French and English is a requirement; French as a first language is an asset.


The responsibilities of the Supervisor include overseeing the day-to-day operations, preparing an environment where children can reach their potential, inspiring and leading the faculty to work at their highest capacity, building trust with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring that all legislative requirements are met.

We are seeking a highly skilled, effective, and experienced leader who can inspire and collaborate with staff, families, and children.


Skills

  • Exemplary communication skills with the ability to professionally articulate the differentiating factors of the childcare centre.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Good financial skills and knowledge
  • Staff and supply staff scheduling.
  • Managing policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, with mínimal supervision.
  • Possess strong leadership skills to prioritize workload in order to achieve exceptional results in a continuously changing environment.
  • Ability to establish rapport and effectively communicate with the board of directors, employees, parents/guardians, ministry of education, school board, community agencies, and the St. Catherine's community at large.

Licensing and Regulatory Compliance

  • Working knowledge of the CCEYA.
  • Working Knowledge of:
  • The Ontario Human Rights Code
  • Employment Standards Act (ESA)
  • Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Ensuring the centre is compliant with all provincial and region of Niagara requirements.
  • Updating all records, including but not limited to:
  • Children's medical records and forms.
  • Allergy and food restrictions.
  • Employee records.
  • Volunteer required documentation.
  • Weekly and monthly forms for all programs.
  • Monthly kitchen and program logs.

Inspirational Leadership

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a licensed childcare centre.
  • Providing knowledge and support to staff to ensure programs meet and exceed requirements.
  • Manage the agenda and leads staff meetings.

Curriculum and Development

  • Responsible for ensuring that children with special needs are appropriately cared for and that training is in place to knowledgeably support their needs. This includes working with Resource Consultants and outside agencies, Speech and Language Pathology, and Occupational Therapists.

Qualifications

  • Registered with the College of ECEs in good standing (RECE).
  • Early Childhood Education Diploma from a recognized college or university.
  • Early Childhood Management Diploma is an asset

Required Documentation

  • Current and clear Vulnerable Sector Check (Police Reference Check).
  • UptoDate Vaccination Record
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C).

Au nom d'Au coin des petits - Centre Préscolaire, nous sommes à la recherche d'un(e) leader avec expérience ayant une connaissance approfondie de l'agrément, du développement de l'enfant et de la création de la communauté avec plusieurs parties prenantes.

Situé dans la communauté dynamique et familiale de St. Catherines, en Ontario, le centre est autorisé à accueillir environ 45 enfants, des nourrissons à la prématernelle. Le bilinguisme en français et en anglais est une exigence, le français comme langue maternelle est un atout.


Les responsabilités du superviseur comprennent la supervision des opérations quotidiennes, la préparation d'un environnement dans lequel les enfants peuvent atteindre leur potentiel, inspirer et gérer la direction de l'équipe pédagogique pour qu'ils travaillent à leur plus haut niveau, l'établissement d'une relation de confiance avec plusieurs parties prenantes, et la garantie que toutes les exigences législatives sont respectées.
