Position Summary:

BOOM Builds is seeking growing and fling multiple positions from skilled labourers to finish carpentry This position offers a diverse use of skills involving installation and repair of new and old structures, both residential and commercial.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills. Must be able to efficiently converse with coworkers, clients, and other contractors while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

(This should also come with a positive attitude and willingness to work as a team.)

• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working around heavy machinery

(It is important to always be aware of surroundings and ensuring the safety of fellow co-workers - complying with all safety policies & procedures at all times.)

• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Possess the necessary small tool kit and safety gear (good measuring tape, tool belt, pencil, hammer, square, safety glasses, steel toe boots etc.).
• Valid drivers license to travel to and from work sites.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to understand and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches specific to each project.
• Assist equipment operator and other skilled labor when required.
• Complete tasks that meet specified timelines for each assignment.
• Construct decks, drywall, and sidings.
• Cut, shape, and assemble lumber and materials according to measurements.
• Design and installation of cabinets, shelves, and drywall
• Finish carpentry moldings, baseboards, windows, stairs, and additional design features
• Fit and install hardware, flooring, and cabinets.
• Installation of wooden structures floor beams, roofing frames, joists, partitions, rafters, and stud work
• Jobsite set up & tear down.
• Keep a clean & organized workspace, as well as properly maintain equipment at all times.
• Precisely measure and calculate sizes and amounts of materials needed for detailed designs.
• Rough carpentry and framework

Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and able to work on foot for duration of your shift providing physical labor.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions
• Exposed to seasonal weather conditions.
• Working at heights.
• Average 40hour work week, with peak periods requiring more hours

Salary to be discussed based on experience.


Salary:
$18.00-$25.00 per hour


Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
