ThMasco Steel Industries Ltd. has an immediate opening for an Office Assistance to join our team. The successful applicant will hit the ground running and ensure that all team members are supported. The Office Assistant must have adequate computer skills, with strong time management and organizational skills. The individual should be able to multitask, work under pressure and work towards meeting tight deadlines for the departments. The Office Assistant will perform administrative and routine clerical tasks.

Their responsibilities may include organizing and managing files, acting as receptionists, scheduling meetings and appointments, and supporting other staff as required.

The Office Assistant will report directly to the Office Manager, interact with Project Department and Service Department. Office Assistant must be adaptable and possess hard and soft skills to assist the office team effectively.

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Maintain and updating files and records
  • Answer telephone calls
  • Use office equipment like facsimile machines, printers, photocopiers, and computers
  • Provide administrative support to various departments as needed
  • Complies with all Health & Safety practices as it relates to work, standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Perform any other duties as assigned in accordance with meeting the company's objectives

Requirements:


  • General High School education required
  • Proficient with basic Office Procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently and accurately under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy and tact with customers.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with ability to multitask
  • Strong team player with a flexible work style, and ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing work demands.
  • Must be dependable, reliable and punctual
  • Must be selfmotivate and strive for success
This is a new position that will develop over time.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
