    The Sr. Product Analyst is responsible for helping to ensure our suite of personal insurance (PI) products meet customer and distribution partners' evolving needs within the PI landscape. They will focus on understanding and assessing the competitiveness of Aviva Canada's PI products, finding opportunities for improvement, and bringing those improvements to market within a matrix team environment.

    What You'll Do

  • Independently conduct research around market developments, consumer trends, and current product performance to find opportunity to improve our PI product suit
  • Perform detailed analysis and build cases, to help prioritize product opportunities
  • Summarize key findings in clear, succinct, and executive-level product proposals
  • Work closely with various partners across the organization to gather input, data and gain alignment on product proposals
  • Support the planning and development of product reviews and make recommendations to improve or retire products where applicable.
  • Complete actions resulting from the recommendations of the post-launch product reviews, collaborating with all applicable collaborators, and adhering to applicable governance standards
  • Conduct product and competitor reviews identifying trends and key opportunities
  • Prepare product proposals including opportunity sizing, design proposals, implementation considerations
  • Execute on product initiatives – either new products, refreshing existing products, or retiring products
  • Participate in partner training sessions either virtually or in-person to promote the Lifestyle product line up
  • What You'll Bring

  • Undergraduate degree in business or other related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of PI products and regulatory environment is an asset
  • Understanding of the PI competitive landscape and product offerings is an asset
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess both quantitative and qualitative value of opportunities, and build detailed financial business cases
  • Ability to independently research and engage external parties to assess product opportunities
  • Ability to summarize key insights and recommendations into senior management communications
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence collaborators and participants
  • Focused and organized – strong project management skills and an eye for details
