The Opportunity:
The incumbent will be responsible for plant specific coordinator requirements. This role will support all functional areas, Finance, HR, Production, Maintenance and FSQA


Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:


  • PO and vendor set up processing
  • Iron Mountain tasks and processing
  • Employee Sales processing entering employee requests and verifying purchases
  • Plant Access card control
  • Assist in organizing office and plant activities. (Employee appreciation BBQ, Company picnic, community days, employee and children's Christmas gifts)
  • Keep tracking inventory of employee supplies and ordering them
  • Ordering, creating PO's, approving and tracking of indirect and direct items
  • Ensure receiving is completed of ordered items
  • Manage the plant PCard process
  • Control plant access cards (ordering, issuing and termination)
  • Coordinator repairs and maintenance of onsite printers
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including courier service
  • Participate in plant projects and initiatives
  • Cover for select HR and scheduling duties during absences
  • Recognize, support and commit to the Food Safety promise and facility Mission statement
  • Responsible to determine requirements and place orders for ingredients, packaging, employee and office supplies needed in the operation with cost, delivery and quality factors optimized.
  • Determine, schedule and expedite materials following JIT principles, including followup with vendors
  • Source goods and quotes that do not fall within the scope of the corporate purchasing group
  • Make recommendations to plant management and corporate purchasing group where savings in cost and/or better delivery can be realized
  • Negotiate purchase agreements for noncost of goods items assuring acceptable quality and adequate deliveries at the best price
  • Participate in and with assignments, teams and six sigma projects as required
  • Other duties as required to support the plant team
  • Experience in Human Resources and purchasing, an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to excel in a fastpaced changing manufacturing environment
  • Ability to take the initiative, analyze and problem solve
  • Work with mínimal supervision and be active team member
