    What you will do

    We have an exciting opportunity to join our Team as we are actively recruiting for a Controls Engineering Technician.

    This position reports to the Controls Engineering Technician Leader.

    What we're looking for
    Understanding and setup of machine communication protocols
    Design of HMI graphics, system diagnostics, status and alarm messaging

    Robot integration (Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, Nachi, Motoman, Panasonic etc.) for process applications ranging from GMA (gas metal arc) welding, resistance spot welding, material handling, continuous path dispensing, vision etc.

    Configuration and integration of Resistance weld controllers & GMA power sources
    Integration of multi axis servo systems & VFD's (variable frequency drives)
    Vision system configuration and debug
    Machine start up and onsite commissioning at customers facility (valid passport, drivers license & ability to travel outside of Canada required)
    What you need to succeed
    Post-secondary Technical diploma or Engineering degree related to Controls
    Working knowledge of MS Office
    Understanding of resistance and arc welding processes
    Experience with installation and commissioning
    Excellent organizational skills
