    Position Overview

  • The Communications and Engagement Department is looking for a regular fulltime Digital Communications Coordinator to join their team. The position is responsible for supporting the City's communications and engagement programs through digital strategy and supporting channels, including social media, the City's online engagement platform and its website.
    Responsibilities
  • Website maintenance responsibilities include overseeing website content and navigation in line with industry standards and best practices, using a content management system to design and build new web pages, creating online forms, and work with graphics, documents and images. The position establishes and maintains website standards, supports various departments with web and digital outreach, and ensures online content is current and accurate. The position also oversees the City's online engagement platform, which includes building project pages, surveys and other input tools, generates and provides reports, and provides strategic advice to staff on best practices.

Requirements:


  • You are a dynamic, positive communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. You can plan strategic digital communications campaigns with an equity, diversity and inclusion lens, analyze social media and website data reports and have knowledge of best practices and trends. You have considerable work experience in social media, digital media, website content and design, and thirdparty software, supplemented by a degree or diploma in communications, marketing, public relations or a combination of training and experience. A valid BC Class 5 driver's licence and some oncall work is required.
    Compensation
- $36.39 to $42.96 per hour- (Pay Grade 2
  • January 2021 rates)
    Hours of Work
  • The City of North Vancouver currently works on a compressed work schedule of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with one scheduled day off (Monday or Friday) approximately every threeweek scheduling cycle.
