The Maintenance Relief is responsible for keeping the production lines in good working condition by performing preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities and duties are as follows:

Be able to diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components on machines and equipment.
Ability to perform and learn a variety of tasks with mínimal direction
Ability to maintain a clean and safe workplace
Monitor day to day operations, prioritize work orders as needed, and ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
Basic hand tools and tool pouch required
Ensure compliance to Agropur policies, procedures, and practices.
Ensure productivity, encourage teamwork, and build departmental cohesiveness.
Provides a high level of customer service through a proactive approach to daily plant problems and issues.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement, utilizing your skills, observations, and participation.
Ensure all maintenance work is conducted within Safety, Food Safety, and Product Quality fundamental requirements.
Be physically fit with a good attendance and personal safety record
Have good written and oral communication skills.
Have previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or industrial setting.
Have PLC experience.
Have flexibility to change shifts based on department requirements and/or vacation coverage

Qualifications:

Certificate of Apprenticeship as either a Journeyman Millwright or Electrician recognized by the Province of BC, plus 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency or the ability to achieve one within a 12 month period.
Minimum 35 years' experience in an automated production environment.
