Reporting to the Workday System Manager as part of the wider Workday operational team, you will play a key role in the team supporting our new Workday system in your area of expertise.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Toronto Support Centre, required to be on-site 2 days a week.


In this role, you will

  • Continually strive to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the Workday system and environment
  • Develop and maintain simple to complex Workday reports, including matrix and composite reports, utilizing Workday Report Writer and Report Designer
  • Deliver meaningful metrics, trends and analytical insights via Workday reporting and dashboards
  • Analyze, design and build new custom reports using standard Workday reporting functionality (ex: Report Writer, Calculated Fields)
  • Design, develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Workday Report Writer in Workday
  • Create standard, advanced, matrix and composite reports while understanding business needs internal/external to HR
  • Provide support for existing custom reports in Workday
  • Lead and execute full report development life cycle: requirements gathering, design, build, test and deploy
  • Provide Workday maintenance support for all Workday integrations, (maintenance, configuration changes, and security)
  • Resolve integration system issues for the modules as escalated by users
  • Troubleshoots, analyzes, detects, identifies and corrects technical problems and deficiencies regarding integrations
  • Resolve service requests, issues and defects and escalated cases in relation to Workday reporting and/or integrations
  • Involvement in the preparation and upload of data via EIBs as necessary
  • Understanding of integration encryption standards and how to implement them
  • Design, develop and modify integration solutions using Workday technologies
  • SOAP API, REST API, EIB, Cloud Connect, Studio
  • Configure API Client and Integration System User security
  • Studio Integration Experience, Reporting Knowledge, Workday Studio Experience, Workday Connector Experience and EIB
  • Must have worked in projects involving multiple systems playing a cross system role solving functional/architectural/technical issues
  • Serve as a Workday Reporting and Integrations domain expert and provide guidance and consultation to HR stakeholders and partners
  • Functional knowledge of one or more Workday modules: HCM, Absence Management, Compensation, Talent Management, Recruitment, Payroll, Expenses, Time Tracking, Scheduling

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar configuration role working with Workday in area of expertise
  • Undergraduate or Bachelor Degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, Math or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to think independently, analytically, problem solve, deliver solutions and results by recommending best practices
  • Workday Report Writer and/or Integrations certifications preferred
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timeline followup and resolution to manage multiple highpriority assignments while meeting deadlines and quality standards
  • Strong business acumen within a technical environment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • High curiosity and desire to learn, highly motivated
  • Proficient computer skills with current technology, i.e. MS Office and other productivity or project management tools, and can be a quick learner to larger enterprise systems
  • Able to work in team, collaborate effectively and build relationships
  • Ability to offer input on issues and challenge the status quo/conventional wisdom
