Norquay Trusses is currently seeking
Truss Builders to join our team.
You will report to the manufacturing and distribution location at 540 Dundas Street, Sault Ste. Marie. Norquay is a Multi-Disciplinary Engineering, Building Design and Wood Truss Manufacturing firm.

Experience building trusses is a definite asset, however, we are willing to train the right individual.


Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work with a team in building trusses as per specified blueprints
• Use power tools and hand tools safely to perform duties
• Ensure assigned work station is kept clean and tidy
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly
• Assist in daily operations and tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Interest in learning the roof truss manufacturing process
• Experience in construction, manufacturing or warehousing an asset
• Knowledge or experience in framing is an asset
• Experience working with hand and power tools
• Must be comfortable working in a noisy and fast paced environment
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills; ability to read a tape measure; basic measurement calculations
• Basic computer skills
• Must have excellent safety record and steel toe boots
