How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?:
The primary purpose and goal of this position is to operate and maintain our Hamilton plant.

Operate, maintain low and high pressure steam systems, industrial gas networks, cryogenic plants and pipeline systems.
Operate and maintain environmental control equipment.
Operates equipment to support various production units; cryogenic systems, including turbines, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, water treatment systems, gas systems, and distillation columns.
Perform chemical analysis on process water, industrial gasses, cryogenic liquids and adjust systems to maintain operations.
Provide isolation, lockouts, clearances and safe work permits on Utilities, systems and process equipment.
Assist in the development of energy control procedures and safe work practices.
Operate in accordance with all applicable procedures, policies and regulations.

The Work Schedule Requirements of the job are as follows:

Our Hamilton facility operates 24 hours per day, 365 days a year with varying hours of work including 12 hour rotating shifts.
Employees may be required to work different days of the week each time you rotate shifts (required to work Saturdays, Sundays and holidays).
The position requires you to work overtime as needed.

Are you a MATCH?:

This position requires a minimum of a 4th Class Power (Operating) Engineering Certificate.
Minimum of one year experience in an industrial environment.

Working Conditions:

The job is within an industrial plant environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the facility.
Safety is our highest priority, and safety procedures and guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes wearing personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, eye protection, hearing protection, flame retardant clothing and safety shoes at all times during a work shift.
Employees work in a unionized, highly industrial setting.

Physical Requirements:

Physical Labour: Ability to lift, move or carry heavy weighted (>50lbs) valves, tools and equipment. Working in physically challenging positions when required.
Agility: The ability to negotiate different areas of the plant, including climbing stairs and ladders, and moving around barriers.
Reaction Time : The ability to quickly respond to process upsets.
