Job duties:

• Plant and move trees.
• Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and diseases.
• Assess the health of lawns.
• Plan and coordinate the growth of plants for landscape sanitation, ornamental and other purposes.
• Plant and construct landscape environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios and other landscape structures and garden environments.
• Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens.
• Salting and snow removal.

Education/Qualifications and Experience:

• Completion of a twotothree year college program in agronomy, arboriculture, horticulture, landscaping, landscape design or landscape technology.
• Experience as a landscape and grounds maintenance labourer is required.

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

• Attention to detail.
• Handling heavy loads
• Physically demanding
• Standing for extended periods

• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

• Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
