Job Description:

What You'll Be Doing


Imagine a role where you are responsible for building banking experiences for a digital bank As part of the Simplii Digital team within the Direct Financial Services Capital Markets Division, you will work alongside Simplii's Digital technology delivery team to build enhancements and deliver a best in class digital customer experience for the Simplii online and mobile banking platforms.


As a Jr Product Owner you will be a key member of the team leading the Simplii digital strategy and execution to build the bank of the future.

You will be supporting the definition of roadmaps and capabilities that enable Simplii's growth objectives and modernization of our digital platforms.

You are passionate about the intersection of business, design, and technology and strive to explore how financial services can become enjoyable digital experiences for our clients.

How You'll Succeed- Curiosity &

New Ideas:
Support the team in researching digital capabilities, consumer and competitive trends. You maintain an intimate understanding of key advancements in product features, technology innovations, and client experience advancements.

You are able to challenge the status quo on the ways we work and how Simplii is evolving.- Strategy: Contribute to the digital vision and create buy-in for the strategy with stakeholders including the executive team and delivery teams.

Support Product Management in maintaining the digital roadmap and continuously prioritize features.

Find, analyze, and lead contracts with strategic suppliers and vendors.- Delivery: - Be engaged in the planning, development, and launch for new features and products.

Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of innovative thinkers to conceptualize, build, and ship digital experiences leveraging cutting edge technologies.

You will be the point person for securing funding, mitigating risk, driving project requirements, developing the go to market strategy and future iterations.

Research Driven:
Understand key product metrics and KPIs.

Work with cross functional team to collect research to identify, design, validate, launch, and iterate simple, smart, and inspiring banking features that reflect the needs of our customers.


Who You Are:

  • You have education and/or 1 + years experience in building and shipping consumer products and features
  • You're passionate about people: You find meaning in relationships and surround yourself with a diverse network of partners. You go the extra mile, because it's the right thing to do.
  • Digitally and Technology Savvy : Enough technical knowhow to talk with developers about technical considerations that impact product, and a desire to learn what you don't know to help drive decision making.
