Overview:
Our Mississauga head office is currently looking for an ambitious

Employee Engagement Coordinator / HR Admin to join our accomplished HR team You will plan and implement employee engagement initiatives and events across the organization to promote a positive and inclusive culture. As the Employee Engagement Coordinator / HR Admin you will assist and provide support to the SVP of HR and the HR team, as well as be responsible for general office management and administration.

Your time will be split up into 3 areas: Employee Engagement, Office Management and HR Support.


Employee Engagement

  • Research, plan and implement employee events and initiatives across all offices to promote a positive culture and increase morale
  • Coordinate internal employee recognition awards and programs
  • Manage and oversee all Social and Wellness Committee activities and initiatives across all offices
  • Assist with planning and coordinating corporate social responsibility and community service initiatives
  • Research and implement new company offerings and perks to improve the employee experience
  • Participate in branding and marketing initiatives as needed
  • Contribute content for company social media accounts, showcasing KUBRA's culture

Office Management

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of office systems to support current and future growth
  • Act as the key point of contact for general office management and administration
  • Create purchase orders for HR and other departments
  • Coordinate and oversee travel arrangements and evaluate cost effectiveness
  • Coordinate and manage existing vendors while establishing new vendor partnerships
  • Maintaining seating arrangements and changes
  • Other duties as assigned

HR Administration & Support

  • Provide direct support and assistance to the SVP of HR as well as the HR Team
  • Create content for weekly communication including announcements, memos, meeting minutes, newsletters
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding packages and procedures while participating in onboarding orientation session(s)
  • Take sole ownership of HR budget including all recruitment, education and training, events etc.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of HR systems to support current and future growth
  • Act as a backup to the Executive Assistant
  • Coordinate Executive participation and presence at events
  • Work with the HR team on special projects and initiatives as required
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information

What skills do you need?:

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in Human Resources is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in HR administration or office management capacity
  • Experience implementing employee engagement events
  • Experience creating content for a wide variety of programs
  • Experience supporting and collaborating with C-Suite Executives a plus
  • Expertlevel computer skills including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Oracle or other purchasing software would be an asset
