Description

Early Childhood Educators work in a dynamic team environment.

They work with children between the ages of 0-5 years to provide a caring and stimulating environment which promotes intellectual, physical, and emotional growth.

At BACI, Early Childhood Educators ensure inclusion for all the children at the centre as they plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for the children.

Position:
Regular FT Early Childhood Educator Float Variety - Fair Haven Little Eagles

Location:
Burnaby, BC

Salary:
Step 1 - $22.50 Step 2 - $25.00 (Including wage enhancement)

Hours: 37.5 hrs/week Schedule: Monday-Friday as per schedule

Skills and Knowledge:

Develop, implement, and lead early playbased learning programs and activities such as storytelling, reading, singing with infants and toddlers.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of an early year's curriculum through your observations and interactions with children on the frontline.
Maintain positive relationships and communication with families.
Practical experience working with children requiring additional support in inclusive settings.
Practical experience working with children 05 years.
Understanding and commitment to the principles of inclusion.
Good communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with families, professionals, and staff.
Ability to understand and follow procedure.
Working knowledge of computers is preferred.

Qualifications:

BC Early Childhood Education and Infant Toddler Certificate required; Special Needs Certificate preferred.
First Aid, CPR, and TB test clearance required.
Immunizations including COVID19 vaccination need to be up to date.
Clear BC Criminal Record Check.
Minimum of 2 Previous Work References.
