Job Purpose
As a member of the Warehouse team, this person will collaborate with colleagues and volunteers to manage food donations and distribute food to member agencies, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Adhere to warehouse SOPs and individual checklists including receiving, safe food handling, cold chain, food sortation, waste management, warehouse cleaning, pest management, order picking
- Properly use the inventory system, and track all shipping and receiving activities appropriately
- Weigh all outgoing orders and incoming product donations and purchases and ensure entry into the inventory system
- Pick agency orders in advance of shipping/pick up deadline, ensuring orders are stored properly until shipped
- Handle and store incoming products according to Health Canada's food safety and handling regulations (including disposal or quarantine if necessary)
- Work with driver(s) and driver assistant(s) to load and unload trucks
- Greet and assist food donors who come to the warehouse to drop off food donations
- Ensure all areas of the warehouse are free of debris, and hazards, and cleaned on a frequent basis. At the end of each day, return all equipment to designated areas and ensure proper recharging procedures
- Report all unsafe situations, practices, and equipment to Warehouse Supervisor
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- 2+ years' experience in a warehouse environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with warehouse policies and practices such as safe food handling
- Forklift/Raymond Reach/Motorized pallet mover license/certifications desired

- Technical. Computer proficiency with skills in MS Office and/or Google Apps and inventory management systems. TMFB is a cloudbased, paperless environment.
- Flexibility/adaptability. Flexible, versatile, and tolerant in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency. Adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
- Problem-Solving skills. Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear, timely decisions which are in the best interests of TMFB
- Communication. Speak, listen, and write in a clear, respectful, and timely manner using appropriate communication tools
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to manually lift up to 50lbs

Relationships:
This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. Frequent interaction with volunteers, donors, and agencies
Position Type:
Full-time, occasional evening and weekend work required
Compensation
Starting salary of $40,000 - $45000
