Leigh Event Group is looking for a strong Event Planning Assistant that has a passion for all things design, not afraid to occasionally steer the ship and has impeccable organization, multi-tasking and attention to details skills.

Then, Leigh Event Group is the perfect fit for you We are currently recruiting an Event Planning Assistant Planner who will work during the week and some weekends (during our peak season).

We are looking for a successful and enthusiastic Assistant Planner to join our growing team. Working with the Creative Director, you will produce exceptional events from conception through to completion. You will provide outstanding customer service and organize memorable events that meet Leigh Event Group's unique quality expectations.

  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and meet them in advance.
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Experience with Event Planning software
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Can think outside the box and continuously WOW the LEG team with new and fresh ideas and processes.
  • Experience in working with senior management, that is extremely demanding and work very quickly
  • Prepared to put in the work to make things happen
  • Must have own reliable laptop and communication tools.
  • Own a reliable vehicle. This is a must as public transit is not an option in this role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan and produce events while managing all project delivery elements within time limits
  • Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to exceed customer satisfaction
  • Propose ideas to improve provided services and overall event quality
  • Attend Vendor Meetings
  • Work on event days for extended periods of time you are on your feet.
  • All administrative tasks related to clients
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Extremely capable at multitasking.
  • Committed to pursuing perfection and detailorientated
  • Proven event design, management and production experience of a minimum of 2 years
  • Eye for design with some artistic capabilities
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in either Event Management, Business Management, Communications, Marketing, Design or any other related field
  • Must be able to work legally in Canada
  • Must have strong English written communication skills
