Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including ductwork, structural steel, and custom metal fabrication, contributing to high-quality manufacturing processes.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications and fabrication requirements.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, ensuring strong and precise welds.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use calipers, measuring tapes, and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in dimensions.
- Rig and secure materials using cranes or forklifts for proper handling during fabrication.
- Machine parts using machining tools as needed for assembly or modification.
- Assist with assembly of fabricated components according to specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections to verify dimensions and weld integrity; make adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery, tools, schematics, and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with rigging, crane operation, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and machining processes is preferred.
- Ability to use calipers, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment proficiently.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Knowledge of ductwork, structural steel fabrication, or construction projects is a plus.
