- Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and prepare corporate tax returns.
- Correspondence with clients and tax authorities.
- Prepare personal tax returns and information returns, as required.
- Lead and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
- Perform complex reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards, implementing necessary updates.
- 2 to 3 years of public accounting with a focus on medium-sized clients.
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software, tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
