Human Resources Coordinator


Our HR Coordinator works in conjunction with other members of the Employee Services team to foster consistent and fair people practices in order to enable a highly motivated and engaged workforce.

The primary areas of focus for the HR Coordinator include but are not limited to:
attendance management, recruitment and selection, orientation/on boarding, training and development, employee relations and job related documentation.

In performing these functions ensures KEI is in compliance with all legislation related to human resources and that all programs, policies and procedures support KEI's corporate beliefs.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK PERFORMED:


  • Input information to HRIS and SharePoint
  • Compile and prepare reports, letters, documents, correspondence and presentations as required
  • Coordinate with various internal departments to obtain documents and information.
  • Perform internal audits (such as employee surveys) and take appropriate action to help correct any employee relations issues;
  • Dispute Resolution Coordinator sets up DRS meetings and respond to employee's statements of concern
  • Help maintain, and update all Human Resources forms, policies and handbooks; in conjunction with the VP ESG and the Ad Hoc committee
  • Completes special projects required of the Employee Services team as assigned.
  • Work with ESG members to coordinate team approach to problem solving and change management
  • Fields questions or complaints from active, inactive and former employees about company or HR policy or process.
  • Provide service to all employees and departments as necessary.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Relevant post secondary education in Human Resources
  • CHRP, or working towards
  • 2 years HR experience
  • Uptodate knowledge of the legal responsibilities arising from all relevant legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (able to interact with employees at all levels of the organization)
  • Good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Welldeveloped collaborative and consultative skills
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
  • Maintains a high degree of discretion and confidentiality; uses diplomacy, and discretion.
  • Concern for quality demonstrated by continually reviewing and initiating process improvements.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding ability, proactive, resultsoriented, and resourceful.
  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy; attention to detail.
  • Listens thoroughly to issues and responds appropriately.
