Responsibilities:


How will I impact the business?


As the Account Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day account management with our clients, ranging in size from small groups to mid-large groups.

Our approach is warm and our relationships are everything with these client groups.

  • You will build, expand, and cultivate relationships with existing clients.
  • You will have consultative conversations with your internal client partners (Sales/Consultants) to ensure that your client strategy is aligned and executed
  • Your focus will be on client retention and relationship management. We hope that you will feel confident enough in your relationships to uncover additional opportunities to crosssolve and drive the sale of additional services and coverage levels
  • You will work with the client to create an annual strategy and ensure that all goals are being executed and you will create deep relationships with the clients. You know who your decision makers are and can quickly solve problems.
  • You will participate in annual governance & investment review meetings with the client and Consultant.
  • You will foster positive working relationships with all internal departments and personnel and be an active participant in promoting a strong office culture
  • Your contribution will range from administrative to strategic and your ability to understand the impact of both will make you an asset to our team
  • You will lead client projects: plan marketings, plan implementations and amendments.
  • You will ensure plans are compliant and clients meet fiduciary duties.

Qualifications:

  • We hire critical thinkers who can jump in and quickly diagnose critical issues
  • We would love to see an individual who gets energy from serving customers and feels proud when they effectively respond in highly sensitive situations
  • Holds a deep understanding of the importance of professional business correspondence and how picking up the phone is always the best option
  • We seek a leader who loves speaking in front of groups of employees and clients and is not afraid to share their expertise and experiences to benefit the team

Do I have what it takes to be considered?

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years in the employee group retirement plan marketplace, including insurer, consulting/brokerage, and/or client experience
  • CEBS designation is a plus, but not required
  • Able and willing to travel when business demands
  • Consider yourself an expert in the Microsoft Suite and can manage your Outlook inbox with ease
