Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for a CSA Manager to join our Industrial and Infrastructure Division

About the role

  • Prepare cost effective structural engineering designs from conceptual design to detail design, tender and construction in accordance with Canadian Codes and Standards.
  • Perform analysis and design of steel structures and concrete foundations for industrial and infrastructure projects.
  • Perform site visits and inspect existing structures. Perform evaluation and analysis of existing structures for modifications and additions and propose reinforcement solutions.
  • Supervise the work of designers the project team.
  • Liaise with client representatives and general contractors directly.
  • Manage small projects primarily led by structural scope.
  • Maintain and build upon client relationships.
  • Occasionally manage multidiscipline projects primarily led by structural scope.
  • Maintain and build upon existing client relationships.
About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural engineering from a recognized University. (Master's degree would be considered an asset).
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) within the Province of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the design of industrial and/or institutional type buildings.
  • Proven experience and confidence in structural design and certification of various building types and heights, including lateral load analysis.
  • Proficiency in design of steel structures, reinforced concrete structures, and heavy concrete foundations for buildings and equipment. Masonry design experience is an asset.
  • Capable of solving more complex building structures and dynamic foundations.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering design software in one or more of STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, MathCAD, RISA, etc.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, NavisWorks and Plant 3D would be considered an asset.
  • Architectural design experience would be an asset.
  • Experienced in dealing directly with clients and contractors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products to prepare reports, specifications, presentations, and estimates.
  • Commitment to technical excellence and client service.
