John Ross & Sons Ltd. is searching for an energetic, motivated, and hands-on Salesperson to join their team in Dartmouth

What You Will Do:

Working directly with the Dartmouth Operations Manager, you will have an opportunity to develop a comprehensive knowledge of structural steel grades and sizing.

Specific responsibilities include
(but are not limited to):

Monitor market fluctuations and accordingly adjust pricing through the process of learning and implementing supply and demand calculations.
Attracting new business.
Monitoring inventory levels
Expanding supply chain
Assisting in buying
Provide quotes to walk in customers and over the phone in a timely manner.
Research and present recommendations to senior management on new markets and growth opportunities
Record and report sales and material volumes, contract statuses and inventory forecasts
Manage aftersales service.
Create and execute monthly sales plans to ensure ongoing communication with customers.

What you bring to the table:

Familiar with new steel products (angle, channel, beams, flat bar, sheet/plate etc.). Encouraged, not required.
Attention to detail.
Hard working and proficient with various computer software and programs.
Willingness to learn, ambitious, and energetic.
Able to convert inches to feet and vice versa.
Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on driving results.
