Child Care Dietary Planner
Linck YMCA, Chatham, ON
Start Date:
As Soon As Possible
Compensation:
Starting rates are dependent on region, qualifications, and contract.
- $19.00 per hour (includes government wage enhancements)

Schedule:
- 7.5 hour workday, Monday through Friday (no weekends)
- 37.5 hour work week
In this role, you will:
- Primarily preparing nutritious snacks and meals for the childcare facility and providing snack support to local YMCA School Age Programs
- Responsible for ordering and purchasing food for programs while maintaining budget requirements
- Strong knowledge of the Canada Food Guide, to plan meals and meet the individual needs of each child's diet due to health or religious restrictions
- Participate in consultation, problemsolving, and sharing of resources with the Director, center team, and other department dietary planners
- Ensure supervision and safety of children at all times; Understand and comply with provincial (CCEYA), municipal, and YMCA policies and procedures
- Understand and comply with provincial (CCEYA), municipal, and YMCA policies and procedures and public health regulations

Education & Skills Qualifications:
- Hold a Valid Food Handler's Certification recognized by public health is required
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification or include the date of training scheduled within the next three months. Training cost and time is at the expense of the applicant and not reimbursed
- Applicants are required to be a minimum of 18 years of age or older to obtain a current Vulnerable Criminal Reference Check (less than 6 months old)
- Uptodate immunizations required by Public Health, Ministry of Education and YMCASWO
- Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort: lifting to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bending, and stooping
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
