Junior Sales Manager Overview:
Courtyard by Marriott & TownePlace Suites by Marriott are dual-brand hotels located in Oshawa. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Junior Sales Manager to join our sales team. Our hotels pride themselves on delivering exceptional guest experiences through our commitment to innovation, quality, and service.

We are looking for a passionate individual eager to contribute to our sales efforts and play a key role in our continued growth.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to increase hotel revenue.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and engage with potential clients.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients while exploring opportunities for upselling and crossselling.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and sales campaigns.
  • Participate in networking events, trade shows, and community activities to represent the hotel and build a strong professional network.
  • Prepare sales reports and analyze data to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in managing the sales database and ensuring all client information is uptodate and accurately recorded.
  • Provide support to the senior sales team in managing contracts and negotiations with clients.
  • Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless experience for guests and clients, aligning sales strategies with overall hotel operations.
  • Ensure proposals and contracts are produced in line with Company standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Attend all relevant departmental meetings as well as other scheduled meetings to support business operations.
  • In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position will be required to perform a number of administrative functions such as answering of telephones, preparing contracts and maintaining sales files.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Sales & Marketing and General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • 23 years of sales experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • A proactive approach to problemsolving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
