As a
Team Assistant Finance, you will ensure the accurate and timely analysis and reconciliation of supplier invoices for billing, payment and reporting requirements by following the internal accounting control procedures in support of the operations.

What will you do?

  • Verifies invoices and employee expense claims for accuracy and compliance with contract terms and conditions; analyzes source documents, ensures approvals are in accordance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA) and liaises with suppliers, internal divisions, Care Coordinators and Team Assistants to trace and correct discrepancies (e.g. missing orders or extra visits); incorrect and/or rejected payments, and posts to the General Ledger
  • Verifies and balances accounts payable reports; codes and enters data on the fi nance system; reviews error reports, and makes corrections as required; initiates payments and prepares Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) remittances and manual cheques for signature
  • Verifies the reconciliation of accounts for purchased services; identifies coding errors and potential problems' reallocates and adjusts accounts as required to ensure the accuracy of statement and reports
  • Verifies the processing of payment and distribution of EFTs and cheques complies with the payment terms and timelines established by the organization and/or the service agency; adheres to the organization policies and procedures for signature authorization (i.e. DOA) for release of payment; and all cheques are accounted for as per policy
  • Composes correspondence related to accounts payables with suppliers and service agencies; provides breakdowns of expenditures by amount and category
  • Accept, prepare and process integration and reversal files in CHRIS
  • Maintains the petty cash account; records and reconciles disbursements
  • Perform bank deposits as required
  • Perform related clerical duties including scanning and filing paid invoices in SharePoint, setting up files and preparing boxes for offsite storage
  • Performs other routine clerical and administrative tasks as assigned by the Manager
What must you have?

  • A college diploma in financial field (e.g. commerce, business administration, accounting) or equivalent
  • 1+ year related office experience
  • Accurate keyboarding/dataentry skills
  • We have a mandatory COVID19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, all employees are required to submit proof of COVID19 vaccination status prior to start date
