GEMTEC is a growing firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and Ontario, and we are looking for a motivated and skilled Civil Technician to join our Team.

We currently have openings for
Civil Technicians/ Co-op Students in our
Ottawa office for 8-month contracts starting May 2023.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

College Level Diploma, or currently enrolled is considered an asset.
Experience with materials testing and inspection is considered an asset.
Experience working with computer assisted drafting (CAD) and surveying is considered an asset.
Experience working in civil construction is considered an asset.

Main Duties:

Laboratory testing of aggregates, soil, concrete, and asphalt.
Field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt.
Various office, laboratory, and field tasks related to materials testing, geotechnical engineering, and environmental engineering.
Other duties as required.

Summer Coop position (8months)
Contract position (8months)
Providing proof of full vaccination against COVID19 may be a condition of employment. Exceptions to this requirement will be considered on a casebycase basis in relation to local health guidelines and/or client requirements/regulations.
Must have a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
