Blackbird Security Inc. is looking to hire an
Accounting Manager that will help us continue to build and grow our company.


Role Summary


As the Accounting Manager, you will lead our AR and AP teams and will ultimately report to our Financial Controller and the CFO.

This position is full-time and will be working from our Vancouver, BC office.


This is a vital position within our company and needs someone ready to take ownership and work in a self-directed manner while overseeing the department's performance and productivity.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the Accounting team
  • Supervise the biweekly invoicing to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Keep track of unpaid and overdue invoices to ensure the team has sent the necessary reminders.
  • Ensure that key deliverables are met.
  • Update and maintain accurate records.
  • Reconciliation of AR and invoices.
  • Process and send out invoices biweekly.
  • Effectively and professionally communicating with clients.
  • Identify and rectify any issues.
  • Prepare and present reports to the necessary management teams as required.
  • Provide support to the Financial Controller or CFO as required.
  • Provide support to the executive leadership team on projects and tasks as required.
  • Various other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • 34 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Experience using Quickbooks or NetSuite.
  • Postsecondary education or other courses in related fields is an asset.
  • Demonstrable ability to multitask and maintain a high attention to detail.
  • Experience using TrackTik is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Able to report to the Vancouver, BC office on a regular or asneeded basis.

Salary:
$55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
