Job Title: Mental Health Therapist
We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality therapy services to children and families in remote northern communities.
About the Role
- Assess, treat, and consult with clients as part of the Child First Team serving children from birth to 17 years old.
- Develop culturally sensitive mental health and wellness services that meet the needs of KO communities.
- Provide in-person therapeutic services and use telemedicine for follow-up sessions when not on site.
Clinical Practice: The ideal candidate should have experience working with various therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, schema therapy, gestalt therapy, trauma-focused cognitive-behavioural therapy (TF-CBT) , grief counselling among others.
The therapist should possess excellent written communication skills also provide effective documentation using TELUS Heath which is software we provide.
