Description

Scope:
Scope is to support the IT operations of the manufacturing plant.

This includes some basic level system administration task, network connectivity support, and supporting end user IT equipment including PCs, scanners, printers, and other mobile devices.


Skills and Qualifications:


In order to qualify for this role, you should have a University or College IT related degree or at minimum, 6 years of related IT experience supporting manufacturing plant, preferably in the automotive industry.

Must be an effective communication with people at all levels, good organizational skills and an independent self-starter. Should be able to work within a team as well as provide team leadership as required. Must be resourceful and have problem solving aptitude.


Technical Skills

  • Experience managing VMWARE/ESX systems.
  • Experience supporting Windows, Unix and Linux servers and PCs
  • Experience supporting scanners and printers in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience and basic understanding of network connectivity including routing, switching, and wireless support.
  • Experience with Microsoft Technologies (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Exchange\O365) would be an asset
  • Demonstrated cando attitude, commitment to driving towards goals, and capability to drive the project at both the strategic level (vision and strategies) and the execution level
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other help desk ticket systems
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Windows Batch, Bash) would be an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft productivity tools (SharePoint, Flow, Teams, etc.)
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT incident management solutions.
  • Must work well under pressure.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in establishing and administrating Information Technology Policy.
  • Strong background in operating systems, networking technologies, office information systems, relational database architectures, internet and intranet development.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP solutions. SAP experience within the automotive is highly desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
  • Perform routine IT related maintenance by schedule (monitor, health check, update)
  • Configure, optimize, monitor for all Incidents, Service Request created by local users and escalate to regional/global team if necessary
  • Asset tracking review and physical inventory
  • Participate in crossdepartmental technology related projects
  • Set up accounts and workstations
  • Create and configure New Virtual Servers
  • Manage Wireless APs

  • Comply with the designated IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 responsibilities, Health &Safety (H&S) rules and practices, Hanon Systems EFP Canada Ltd policies, procedures and practices.
  • Treat everyone with dignity, trust and respect.
  • Support Hanon Systems Global IT policies and procedures and ensure they are followed by all users and SSG team members to the best of his/her ability.
  • Assist in updating, creating, and maintaining IT process and procedures.
  • Assist in updating, creating and maintaining IT diagrams.
  • Reporting and maintaining of key IT Metrics.
  • Reporting and tracking of project tasks.

Health, Safety and Environmental


Ensure safe practices prior to working on any equipment as to prevent harm to himself/herself and to others (i.e., lockout procedure, barricading areas, safe handling of materials, etc.).

This includes making supervisor aware of any unsafe procedures or areas so that corrective actions can be taken.
