MATB41H3 Techniques of the Calculus of Several Variables I
Course Description:
Partial derivatives, gradient, tangent plane, Jacobian matrix and chain rule, Taylor series; extremal problems, extremal problems with constraints and Lagrange multipliers, multiple integrals, spherical and cylindrical coordinates, law of transformation of variables.

Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience as the instructor of a Mathematics course at the 2nd-year university level (required). Previous teaching experience as the instructor for MATB41H3 or equivalent (strongly desirable).
Duties:
All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; submission of a deferred exam; holding regular office hours; supervising TAs assigned to course.
Estimated TA Support (Hours): 65 hours per tutorial.

Sessional Lecturer I Long Term $9,930.79
Sessional Lecturer II $10,121.77
Sessional Lecturer II Long Term $10,326.62
