    Position Overview


    As a Senior SR&ED Consultant specializing in Information Technology clients at a leading consultancy in Canada, you'll leverage your robust technical expertise within a collaborative team of STEM professionals.


    Your primary responsibility will involve identifying and substantiating R&D tax credit claims for a diverse range of clients nationwide, with a particular focus on the Information Technology sector.

    The consultancy has an extensive track record across industries, including architecture, engineering, software, biomedical sciences, and more.


    This role is remote, but they would like to prioritize individuals in the Montreal/Ottawa region as you may need to visit the office from time to time.

    Key Responsibilities


    • Collaborate with clients and Mission Management to pinpoint SR&ED tax credit-eligible activities
    • Identify eligible expenses for SR&ED tax credits or government grants and subsidies
    • Develop and draft SR&ED claims or grants and subsidies, working closely with clients and under project manager supervision
    • Thoroughly document claims using pertinent forms and technical reports to substantiate the work
    • Support clients through the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) audit process
    • Engage in international collaborations with subsidiaries in the USA, UK, France, and Brazil
    Qualifications


    • Hold an advanced Masters degree or higher in engineering, IT, electronics, or a related field from a recognized university
    • Possess one to five years of SR&ED consulting experience within a professional services organization
    • Familiarity with the SR&ED program and other government incentives
    • Ability to comprehend technological complexities and articulate them clearly to highlight elements eligible for the SR&ED program
    • Prior professional experience in IT, gaming, electrical engineering, electronics, or mechanical engineering
    • Exceptional bilingual communication skills (French and English)
    • Proficiency in conducting technical interviews with specialists across various technological fields
    • Strong project management capabilities
