Rate of Pay:
$29.01

Shift: 10 hour shifts - Monday to Thursday

Reporting to the Department Supervisor, the
Forklift Operator performs all responsibilities in a manner which ensures that the quality expectations of every customer are met or exceeded.

All employees are mandated to create a zero-injury environment and engage actively in all areas of SPS.

Responsibilities:

- perform packaging methods which meet customer needs and specifications as per work order
- drive a forklift and ensure it is in safe working condition
- notify supervisor of any damage, malfunction or abuse to any equipment
- perform visual inspection and dimensional verification of finished goods and appropriate labeling and identification
- maintain a safe, orderly and clean work environment, general housekeeping functions are required
- assist during changeovers; perform other duties as assigned

Work 10hour day shifts
Monday to Thursday; flexibility required to work afternoon shifts as business needs require

Requirements:

- manufacturing/production/warehouse experience
- experience driving a tow motor/forklift truck and possess a valid fork-truck license
- familiarity with ISO, LO/TO
- good level of computer skills
- are a self-starter, can adapt easily to changing tasks and have a sense of initiative
- are a strong team player, have excellent interpersonal skills and are extremely safety conscious
- are able to work with mínimal supervision
- are 18 years of age or older
- have Grade 12 education or equivalent
- are legally entitled to work in Canada
- are able to perform physical requirements of the job (lifting up to 50 lbs), standing/walking all day
