We're looking for a

Regional Account Executive to play an integral role with our Canada Life team. In this fast-paced, results-driven environment, you'll provide general practice management support to aligned Advisors within a region, identify strategies and opportunities to better operate their practice, become more productive and grow their practice. You will ensure specialist practice management resources are pulled in as needed to complement coaching support and help deliver the region's sales and asset growth targets.


What you will do

  • Be the primary relationship manager for a group of Financial Advisors
  • Serve as the goto Canada Life point of contact for Advisors, building long term relationships; be the conduit between maximizing business opportunities and advisor advocacy
  • Uncover Advisor needs, identify opportunities for sales growth based on knowledge of product and service offerings and quickly work to reduce and resolve advisor/client obstacles
  • Remain connected with Advisors to gain feedback and gauge how impactful Canada Life campaigns, communications, products, and services are in meeting Advisor needs
  • In partnership with the Regional Director and/or Regional Vice-President, create and execute compliance and annual business development plans within budget to achieve sales targets and minimize compliance risk
  • Provide exceptional practice management coaching with aligned Advisors, in support of Canada Life and regional strategies
  • Coach and mentor aligned advisors on practice development, annual business planning and marketing strategies, incorporating digital technology to drive business performance and satisfy client needs
  • Champion Canada Life's overall strategic direction with advisors; achieve annual sales targets, increase the number of aligned Advisors and firms in the region, and maximize productivity of existing aligned advisors
  • Active participant within the recruiting, match making and teaming initiatives with the Advisor Talent team, Advisors, and Business Development Advisors

What you will bring

  • 5+ years of financial services experience, including knowledge of life insurance investments and group benefits
  • Balanced and skilled approach as both a practice and relationship manager
  • Sales coaching and practice development expertise
  • Strong Advisor credibility and interpersonal skills to lead through influence, and inspire Advisors to adopt changes to accelerate growth
  • Appetite and aptitude for continuous learning and upgrading your skills across dimensions of financial planning expertise, business growth strategies and operational effectiveness
  • Ability to lead teams in a matrixed organization
  • CFP and CLU would be considered assets
