Position Summary
Working as a part of the inside sales team, reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, and charged with the responsibility of handling customer service, related to parts sales and growing wholesale dealer business.
The individual in this position should be a personable, sales-oriented person, a problem solver, ethical, intelligent and able to adapt to all of the forces around them - customers, suppliers, department employees, and co-workers.
EssentialResponsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Create a personal rapport with customers that builds confidence, professionalism, and differentiates us from other suppliers while promoting maximum customer satisfaction and customer loyalty.
- Utilize creative and innovative sales techniques, addressing related customer parts needs to increase customer purchases.
- Initiate telephone calls, follow up and confirm orders on pending customer quotations, web quotations & orders.
- Contacts current and prospective customers to solicit new business within market area as directed.
- Conducts daily tracking of outstanding customer parts orders and shipments.
- Coordinate and support with the outside sales representatives, providing outgoing sales calls to customers increasing and expanding sales to our customers.
- Provide updates as necessary to maintain an accurate customer database.
- Handle customer calls relating to complaints on orders, warranty inquiries, and other customer inquiries by investigating and documenting the complaint, referring problems to appropriate personnel, recommending action to rectify problems and following up to ensure resolution.
- Obtain and utilize a strong product and market knowledge, as well as knowledge of the customer's business and end use of our products.
- Maintains, communicates and shares customer information with our personnel on information
- Promote and support a team environment within all aspects of our organization.
- Performs other workrelated duties as assigned.
ITR Employees should constantly be seeking out ways to more efficiently perform their job duties and increase their workplace knowledge.
It is the duty of all ITR Employees to assist in mentoring new staff that share similar Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 year or equivalent experience in parts sales.
- Industry related experience required, equipment and parts knowledge a plus.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong organization abilities.
- Strong selling skills.
- Good Interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of computer skills. MS Office is preferred.
Predominately sedentary light office position with prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on computer (90% of the workday).
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to look at a computer monitor all day.
This is a largely sedentary role; however, handling of parts is required. The employee is occasionally required to walk; bend, crouch, stoop, reach with hands and arms to view parts. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Position is typically office and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
