- Lead a regional sales team to achieve revenue, profitability and strategic product targets. The region will be defined as Eastern Canada Province of Ontario (Greater Toronto Area, London, Windsor and Province of Quebec).
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies at the territory level to effectively grow revenue in your region.
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
- Negotiate and close profitable agreements with large and key customers.
- Coach/Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales force.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
- Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
- Deliver prompt and effective solutions that align with clients' needs.
- Successfully commercialize new product launches.
- Self-directed travel as required (within Canada as required).
- The expectation is to be in market > than 75% of the time both locally and nationally. A combination of both home and corporate office is acceptable.
- Possesses the ability to act as the organization's "face" to the industry in all facets.
- Bilingual Proficiency (English & French)
- Bachelor's Degree required (ideally business related)
- Based in the GTA (preferably western GTA)
- Previous working experience as a Regional or National Sales Manager for 5+
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with building products, building materials, and the architecture and design community, including an understanding of the construction sector and the flow of money within it.
- Route to Market Expertise: Experience in both trade and retail environments.
- Lifecycle Management: Experience in recruiting, onboarding, developing, and promoting talent.
- Sales Structure Experience: Proficient in designing and implementing effective sales strategies.
- High-Performing Sales Team Development: In depth knowledge of managing a high performance and engaged sales team. Knowledge in training on PK, selling skills, and business management planning.
- Rapport Building: Capable of establishing strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Understands a consultative solution-based sales approach (technical expertise, product and application knowledge are key differentiators)
- Demonstrates an unwavering commitment to professional integrity and a values-based approach.
