In the Production Manager role, you are a detail-oriented leader who is passionate about the optimization of production resources and projects.

Under the leadership and direction of the Sr.
Producer, you will support the Commercial Production team. You will establish, maintain and enhance processes for better workflow. You will work closely to ensure process are upheld, and workflow is streamlined. You will build and develop relationships with internal partners and business leaders to establish and improve processes and communication. You will see every project through from pre-production to post-production, actualizing & wrapping projects and aiding in quarterly reporting.

Contract Length: 10 Months

  • Participate in project and campaign ideation, helping cost out proposed partner projects and set up vendor relationships to facilitate ultimate delivery.
  • Manage vendor relationships, seeking out quotations, bids, etc.
  • Create contracts and work agreements for all Production. Companies, Freelance Shooters, Talent, and General Production Crew.
  • Create and implement budget trackers with the Sr.
Producer & Jr.
Producer for all projects, ultimately closing them out with final actualized budgets for Finance.

  • Oversee all travel bookings & per diems for crew and talent, should they be required.
  • Host all Production meetings in the lead up to project completion from the moment of approval, working as a hinge between the Commercial Creative team and outside vendors with lead direction from Sr.
Producer.

  • Work alongside finance team to ensure project budgets stay inline, answering all questions on what has been spent and what cashflow is needed per month.
  • Work to code all invoices coming into the proper budget and have Sr.
Producer sign off on each invoice before submitting to Accounts Payable.

  • Make sure every freelancer has a contract that accurately reflects their work; either a simplified Service of Work Agreement if work is being done outside of MLSEowned facilities or work with HR to get Service of Work Agreements drafted for work done on MLSEowned properties.
  • Liaise with legal on all (contracts, agreements, waivers, talent & location releases, etc).
  • Implement clear guidelines on production expenses for Freelance Production Manager and Production Coordinators.
  • Acts as core point of conduct with relevant production bodies, ensuring MLSE follows industry best practices.
  • Manage any Certificate of Insurance requests for production shoots, including equipment and location rentals.
  • To confirm budgetcode from the partner before any work starts.
  • Share a final budget with Partnership Rep following the wrap of a project.
  • Actualize and prepare wrap books at the end of every project.
  • Assist with providing waivers to potential talents on screen (make sure GP & legal are inline with the language).
  • Work closely with Casting Director/Talent Agents on legality, contract & term dates for their likeness & usage.
  • Manage photography & postproduction licensing for Commercial Campaign initiatives.
  • Be the liaison between internal & external vendors (re: location/MLSE employees/Venue Ops).
