Purpose:
Supervise a team of individuals in support of timely and error-free administrative support for Category Management.

Role Specific Accountabilities

  • Ensure a high quality work output, while assigning tasks and overseeing daily, weekly, and seasonal priorities.
  • Regularly onboarding, training and coaching a large team of Merchandise Coordinators
  • SKU File maintenance: focus on data integrity, related support files, and communicating changes to crossfunctional teams
  • Vendor administration: Domestic vendor set up and issuance of all vendor and private label manuals; provide all information to vendor inquiries for new vendors; update vendor profile as required
  • Create and release package and return sheets per buying calendar
  • Category/assortment administrative support: colour cards, purchase logs and flyer boards. Support product sample management with Category Assistants
  • Respond to Buying Help Desk inquiries re: SKU File RTV/

Knowledge & Skills


Requirements:


  • Postsecondary education or equivalent work experience, ideally in retail
  • 23 years work experience (ideally in retail either store or buying office)
  • Demonstrable potential leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrable attention to detail and values data integrity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Teams, Excel)
Assets

  • Bilingual English and French
