As a Category Manager (CM) in the Mobile Technologies portfolio within our corporate Procurement team, you will be responsible for end to end procurement of goods and services including project management, negotiating & drafting contract terms, running sourcing events and associated analytics within the Mobile Technologies category.
You will also play an integral role in ongoing supplier governance and relationship management, ensuring that appropriate total value of ownership is achieved through the life of contractual agreements.
You will report into one of our fabulous Procurement Directors.What you'll do:
- Support strategic sourcing efforts from start to end (determine spend baseline and sourcing opportunities, market research, identification of suppliers, creation of RFx, analysis of proposals, recommendation on solution, contract negotiation and execution, performance management)
- Conduct supplier performance reviews in partnership with the business
- Provide spend category intelligence and analytics using both extensive internal & external data sources
- Analyze operational activity & interface with internal stakeholders to support changes in business strategy
- Have knowledge or eager to learn about mobile technologies, accessories and finance
- Contract creation and execution skills
- Manage vendor contracts, including compliance of terms
- Responsible for reporting savings on a monthly basis
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; statistical knowledge and experience is highly sought
Qualifications:
What you bring
- Business and financial acumen including proven experience to lead supplier negotiations and structuring deals (i.e. pricing, performance management and SLA development), drafting legal agreements, risk mitigation and skilled negotiations
- Proven experience developing and managing successful relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders at both working and senior level
- Crossfunctional team management and facilitation skills, with both internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to lead crossfunctional teams towards desired outcomes
- Ability to create unique solutions to manage and/or analyze data to support decision making
- Good project management, presentation, organizational, time management skills
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite & Google Suite
- Team player and "can do" attitude
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 57 years of experience in a fastpaced, complex environment
- SCMP/MBA designations are definite assets
