Thank you for your interest in our fast-paced 20 bed inpatient surgical unit at Cowichan District Hospital. We specialize mainly in orthopedic, gynecological, abdominal, urological, and other general surgical procedures. We offer an environment which has many learning opportunities which includes specialized equipment, and treatment using variable modalities such as PCA/PCEA. We have a fabulous team of nurses /educators who are incredibly passionate about their work, and a skilled group of allied staff who support; such as liaisons, SW, PT/OT, RA, dietary.
In 2027, CDH will be getting a new site, where we will see expansion from 148 inpatient beds to 204. We are very excited for this change, and planning is well underway. With this expansion, there will be many exciting opportunities to grow in your practice and contribute to the overall patient care experience.
