DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Reporting to the Patient Care Manager (PCM), Allied Health, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring patient care services for the Ambulatory Rehabilitation Centres (ARC) and affiliated ambulatory care areas are delivered with high quality, safety and consistency on a daily basis.

Through continuous supervision of care team members, the Clinical Supervisor promotes care that is patient centered, timely and efficient.

The Clinical Supervisor enables care team members to coordinate and integrate services, encourages ongoing performance improvement, and maximizes the use of available resources to facilitate efficient and excellent patient care throughout the department.

Plans, organizes, leads and controls the activities of the department including; supporting and promoting a culture of professional growth, responsibility, respect and safety; performance recognition; and instilling an appreciation for the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization.


In collaboration with the PCM, Allied Health and other applicable ambulatory care areas the Clinical Supervisor ensures staff resources are aligned to deliver complete and consisted patient centered care by: investigating and resolving complaints; aligning patient care needs to the needs of the department, other departments and external organizations; waitlist management; development of and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures and standards of care; collaborating with team regarding scheduling, orientation, training and development, supporting program operations, quality improvement and continuously monitoring of clinic flow to meet benchmarks.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Baccalaureate degree, Masters preferred, in allied (rehabilitation) healthrelated discipline;
  • Regulated Health Professional in good standing within a Rehabilitation Science;
  • 3 to 5 years hospital based ambulatory rehabilitation experience preferred;
  • Proven experience in a practical/clinical role
  • Proven evidence of ongoing education (e.g., workshops, seminars, etc.);
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hospital rehabilitation functions and current trends in rehab and health care;
  • Proven flexibility, initiative, independent judgment and ability to be selfdirected within scope of responsibility;
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multitask;
  • Proven effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict management;
  • Proven effective problem solving and critical thinking skills;
  • Ability to quickly gain credibility through personal style and professionalism with proven capacity to nurture and mentor others;
  • Demonstrated strong presentation skills;
  • Ability to travel between LH sites;
  • Demonstrated commitment to Lakeridge Health core values;
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular inservice education in this area;
  • Proven good attendance with the capability of maintaining the same standard.
