    Description

    Purpose:

    The Parking and Transportation Supervisor role reports to the Manager, Parking Operations, Facilities and Systems and is responsible for the effective supervision of Parking Control, Traffic, and Parking Enforcement on the University's campuses.

    The role provides effective leadership, supervision, and team management to deliver service excellence in Parking Control, Transportation and Enforcement Operations.

    Consistent with the role's major duties, key performance objectives entails making recommendations and implementing the delivery of improved parking services to community members and visitors.

    The role is also responsible for conducting inspections, audits and ensuring compliance with municipal requirements relative to the Municipal Law Enforcement program.

    Education:

    Post secondary diploma.
    Municipal Law Enforcement Officer license is required.

    Experience:

    1 year of management or supervisory experience.
    Experience in the Parking industry including two years of parking enforcement experience.
    Experience working in a unionized environment and delivering customer service in a complex operating environment. Parking industry, by-law enforcement.

    Skills:

    Knowledge
    Thorough knowledge of Parking and Traffic regulations.
    Proficiency with using spreadsheets (MS Excel), word processing (MS Word) and e electronic presentation (MS PowerPoint. MS Visio)
    Leadership and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
    Effective communication skills.
    Problem solving, analytical, facilitative and mediation skills.
    Ability to develop relationships with community groups.
    Ability to use tact and diplomacy.
