We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support our Pharmacy Services department at our Mount Sinai Hospital Campus. The Pharmacy Technician is an integral member of the Pharmacy team and accountable for safe patient orientated care and customer service.

    Responsibilities:

    • Dispensing of drugs using robotic drug distribution system

    • Stock replenishment of automated dispensing cabinets and OR workstations

    • Sterile and non-sterile compounding, including TPN & chemotherapy

    • Automated narcotic and controlled substance distribution

    • Repacking and barcoding

    • Quality assurance and maintenance of inventory and equipment, including robots

    • Purchasing and inventory management

    • Independent double checks of technical work

    • Attend departmental meetings and continuing education programs

    • Assist in training of new Pharmacy personnel

    • Actively contribute to the ongoing review of policies and procedures

    • Assist with other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements


    • Registered and licensed as a Pharmacy Technician with Ontario College of Pharmacists

    • 1 year recent hospital experience preferred

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills

    • Proven organizational and time management skills

    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

    • Ability to work independently and as a team player

    • Demonstrated excellent work performance and attendance history
