Position Summary:The City of Fort Saskatchewan is looking for a professional, friendly, and self-motivated individual to join the Planning & Development Department. Reporting to the Manager, Safety Codes, the Safety Codes Officer performs compliance monitoring in the Plumbing & Gas discipline. Preference will be given to applicants with certification in other disciplines or willing to obtain certification as a Residential Safety Codes Officer. This position interprets and enforces the Safety Codes Act, Permit Regulations and all applicable codes, standards, City bylaws and policies impartially and tactfully.
