TRYPTYC THEORY is currently looking for a hands-on, experienced, and talented Visual Effects Coordinator to join our Toronto studio.

Our coordinators' primary responsibility is keeping the day-to-day artist workflow moving along.

Whether it's managing incoming/outgoing file transfers, assigning and tracking artist tasks, facilitating dailies and client reviews, or processing client deliveries, we depend on our coordinators to keep the TRYPTYC machine rolling along.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years VFX Coordinator production experience on feature films and/or episodic television.
  • Comfortable with Shotgrid / Shotgun artist task assignments, scheduling, and tracking.
  • Great verbal/written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of current post production procedures/pipelines, terminology, and techniques.
  • Strong proficiency of Shotgun and Excel.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada (Ontario based preferred, but we are flexible).

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Assigning all artist tasks in Shotgun and keeping all Shotgun statuses, notes, etc., up to date
  • Responsible for keeping the work on the floor moving, making sure that nothing is being held up or sitting idle, and reporting back to the VFX Producer if anything is required.
  • Making rounds and checking in on the artists throughout the day.
  • Organizing and preparing morning and afternoon dailies playlists in Shotgun for review, as well as logging and distributing all notes.
  • Monitoring and tracking all publishes, notes, etc. in Shotgun, and making sure that all updates are passed along to the artists.
  • Collaborating with, and supporting the VFX Producer.
  • Working with the VFX Producer to help set up client meetings/reviews, as well as logging and distributing all notes.
  • Monitoring all time logged on shot/asset tasks against the budgeted bid day counts.
  • Working closely with the VFX Producer to ensure that all delivery dates/milestones are communicated to the TRYPTYC team and are met.
  • Organizing and preparing delivery playlists in Shotgun for client deliveries, and the processing of all deliveries to the client (and the tracking of any subsequent notes from them).
  • Assist IO with ingest: Copying all client deliveries of plates, edits, references, etc., to the correct place on the server, and making sure that they are logged in Shotgun and passed along to the team.
