We are currently seeking a
Refrigeration B Operator (Millwright would be an asset)to join our team at our Production facility located in Waterloo Ontario.


Shift:
Monday-Friday (8 hours) day shift.

The Opportunity:


Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the safe operations of the refrigeration plant
  • Maintain and operate ammonia refrigeration system, HVAC, compressed air, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Perform repairs and general maintenance duties associated with the refrigeration and boiler systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical breakdown relating to the utilities to ensure mínimal impact to production
  • Complete routine inspection and testing of equipment and infrastructure to ensure proper operations
  • Monitor and maintain water treatment for cooling towers
  • Document readings on plant equipment including boilers, water, and gas consumption
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by ensuring the facility is operating in accordance with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA)
  • Assist maintenance team with repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Routine maintenance on building maintenance, box conveyor system, loading docks, forklifts, and batteries
  • Reporting to Chief Refrigeration Operator/Maintenance Coordinator
  • Ability to work in noisy conditions, in a cold environment and occasionally from heights

Qualifications for this position include:


  • Class "B" Refrigeration Operator designation
  • Millwright and/or Electrician would be an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience within a TSSAregulated ammonia facility
  • Knowledge and experience on Ammonia Refrigeration Systems
  • 25 years of experience working in a manufacturing plant ( Refrigeration experience a must)
