Looking to Hire 2 People..._**The maintenance supervisor leads their maintenance field team in the successful completion of maintaining and beautifying our portfolio of properties.
As a supervisor and liaison between the field staff and management, the Maintenance Supervisor assists the Maintenance Manager and Service Manager in the execution of divisional directives.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and coaching to maintenance crew members
- Problem solving, dispute resolution
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Effective driving of a loaded truck and trailer
- Participate in safety related meetings (toolbox talks) and wear correct Personal Protective Equipment as required
- Timely completion of all assigned paperwork
- Ensure equipment is maintained and in good working order.
- Always inspect equipment prior to use
- Notify management of deficiencies in equipment
- Able to complete equipment repair and large mower servicing
- Complete required training on all equipment and Company policies and procedures
- Act as a Company ambassador whenever in uniform
- Polite, professional attitude
- Maintain an ordered appearance as described in the Operations Manual
- Be courteous to the general public
- Plan and schedule jobs as required
Education
- Completion of Secondary School
- Postsecondary education in the field of horticulture an asset
- Occupational First Aid, Level
- Industry certifications an asset (ie: Pesticide Applicator)
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years industry experience or education equivalent
- Experience working in an outdoor, laborious position
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of local plant life
- Mechanical aptitude (troubleshooting)
- Previous experience with landscape machinery (mowers, line trimmers, blowers)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Understanding of advanced landscape calculations and measurements
- Understanding and interpreting of blueprints and site maps
- Knowledge of basic finance
- Demonstrated strong leadership/supervisory skills
- Knowledge of Green Walls and their maintenance

- Watering and fertilization management
- Financial management
- Basic quoting, tendering and negotiation
- Basic design and plant selection
Physical Requirements
This position is 100% labour and as such, individuals must be in good physical condition and be able to lift weight in excess of 50 lbs, bending, crouching, twisting, and standing/walking for long periods of time.
