Description

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

- *Primary point of contact for patients/parents, referring offices, medical professionals*_

  • Reception receive and register patients
  • Scheduling/managing patient appointments and waitlists
  • Process/scan/file incoming referrals and documents, with basic triaging
  • Liaising with hospitals to assess and schedule OR bookings

Qualifications and Skills:

-
MUST have MINIMUM one (1) year experience and proficiency using the EMR Accuro:


  • MUST have AT LEAST one (1) year working in a specialist physician's office, or AT LEAST two (2) years working in a family medicine practice:
  • MOA certification preferred
  • Must have excellent computer skills, and able to operate a range of office equipment (telephone, fax, computer, printer, scanner, etc.)
  • Ability to use certain ophthalmological machines (e.g. OCT) is an asset

Hours:

  • Selected applicant will have to be vaccinated with the routine immunizations, as well as against COVID19, as the office serves vulnerable populations of patients
  • As per provincial regulations, masks are required in all healthcare settings, including the office

*Selected applicant will undergo a probationary period of three months.


Salary:
$20.00-$23.00 per hour
