Summary:

Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance by inspecting the installation of material handling equipment and conveyor systems utilizing costumer standards, quality control/assurance methodology, and other performance metrics
- Provide technical direction to installation teams regarding inspection failures for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and safety components of the system
- Recommend improvements to the installation process to ensure quality control
- Inspect and note any discrepancies for the customer teams to correct.
- Utilize an inspection app on an Ipad to log and document inspection findings.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have 1+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical installation or assembly in material handling or automation field
- Must have 1+ years of experience with process improvement, quality control, and quality assurance techniques
- Must be able to walk close to 4 miles per day, climb over/under conveyors, utilize scissor lifts and ladders
- Must have knowledge of National Electrical Codes (NEC) and WHMIS policies
- Proven ability to understand installation specs, layout drawings, and schematics
Note that this in a active job site requiring PPE (hard hat, safety vest, gloves, and safety glasses) which Actalent will provide.
Actalent will provide both the Working at Heights (WAH) certification training as well as Elevated Work Platform (EXP) certification training prior to working on site.
Actalent will also provide the tools and hardware required to complete the inspections on site as needed.
Individuals do not necessarily have to have experience working on conveyor systems but must be comfortable working on a job site and have experience working on a similar type of automated equipment.
The team will be working Monday to Friday 10 hour days (7:00AM to 5:30PM) as well as the weekends in some circumstances depending on workload and site deadlines.
Contract length: 3 months
Salary:
$20.00-$27.00 per hour
