Black's Pub
A gastropub fit for its vistas, Black's Pub is a destination unto itself. Situated right at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb, this 2-level gastropub features unparalleled views of both mountains.
It is the perfect spot to begin and finish your day in the mountains. Serving lunch, après, dinner, and late-night, Black's Pub is a staple in the Village.
From the top deck, you can watch as the skiers and snowboarders come into an orchestrated corral, or in the summer watch the bikers pump down A-Line and skid into the plaza.
Black's Pub is a place for neighbors and the community to share great food, fantastic drinks, and culture. With entertainment daily and mouth watering daily features, this is the place you'll want to be.Core responsibilities include:
- Uphold Core Values: Have Fun, Encourage Trust, Show Kindness, Act like an Owner & Hustle
- Menu development
- Oversee and ownership of hiring, leading, attendance & training, performance reviews of kitchen team
- FOH training through product knowledge
- Work with the General Manager to develop venue budgets, assist in operating within budgetary guidelines, evaluate financial/labor COS/food COS reports & adjust operations as needed to achieve financial/labour COS/food COS goals
- Scheduling and managing teams
- Inventory best practice
- Have your finger on the pulse of ongoing food trends in the industry
- Budgeting and financial planning for labor and food costs
Required:
- 5 years minimum kitchen experience
- Excellent leadership skills
- Administration skills and experience
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Strong communication skills
- Strong Process skills
- Red Seal certification or other culinary training an asset
Compensation:
- Wage based on experience with great staff perks across Gibbons venues. To be discussed at interview.
